Tower60 is going pink for breast cancer awareness month!
It’s official! We’re painting Tower60 PINK this October honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Tower60 Foundation is honored to support the second annual Paint it Pink fundraiser at
El Segundo Beach Saturday October 16, 2021 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Tower60 will
be transformed from its current basic blue to vibrant pink, the official color of National Breast Cancer awareness. Tower60 will remain pink throughout the month of October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
In 2019, we successfully
raised $50,000 during the month of October during Paint it Pink month. 100% of
the proceeds were donated to our friends at the City of Hope. This year our goal is to double that amount!
“El Segundo’s Tower60 lifeguard station has stood as a symbol of hope and helpfulness at El Segundo Beach and I am honored to appoint Tower60 as the official Foundation that serves as the goodwill ambassador for the Paint it Pink event.” says Tower60 Foundation founder Alex Abad.
“Our quaint beach community has given me so much. Finding a way to give back was the least I could do.”
“We are proud to support Alex Abad and his mission of painting Tower 60 in support of fighting cancer. We commend Mr. Abad’s compelling vision, tenacity and persistence in making this become a reality and applaud the residents of El Segundo for supporting in such a big and meaningful way.”
