Thanks to the generosity of so many, Tower60 donated $50,000 to City of Hope in Support of breast Cancer awareness month
It’s official! Tower60 is PINK for the month of October honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Tower60 has been transformed from its current basic blue to vibrant pink, the official color of National Breast Cancer awareness. In 2019, we successfully raised $50,000 during the month of October during Paint it Pink month. 100% of the proceeds were donated to our friends at the City of Hope.
This year our goal is to double that amount!
“El Segundo’s Tower60 lifeguard station has stood as a symbol of hope and helpfulness at El Segundo Beach and I am honored to appoint Tower60 as the official Foundation that serves as the goodwill ambassador for the Paint it Pink event.” says Tower60 Foundation founder Alex Abad. “Our quaint beach community has given me so much. Finding a way to give back was the least I could do.”
“We are proud to support Alex Abad and his mission of painting Tower 60 in support of fighting cancer. We commend Mr. Abad’s compelling vision, tenacity and persistence in making this become a reality and applaud the residents of El Segundo for supporting in such a big and meaningful way.”
